Seat Ibiza Door Locking Problem

I am experiencing an issue with the door locking system on my 2021 Seat Ibiza, equipped with a diesel engine. Neither the central locking nor the car alarm is working. It seems I have a faulty door contact signal. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection within the door latch is to blame. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? The door can no longer be locked or unlocked, and this seems like a likely cause based on initial diagnostics.

Had a similar issue on my Ibiza. Check the wiring harness where it enters the door. They are known to crack there. Does the car alarm go off randomly?

Does your car have automatic locks? And was it the door sensor that failed, or something else entirely within the door latch mechanism?

Yes mine has automatic locks too. It was indeed a faulty connection. The car alarm started going off at random times because of it. I ended up taking it to the shop; they diagnosed it pretty quick.

Took the Ibiza to a local workshop, and it was a defective connection within the door latch's wiring harness. The entire repair, including parts and labor, came to 95€. Thanks for the advice; it helped confirm my suspicions.
