Seat Ibiza engine issue resolved

I'm experiencing some issues with my 2013 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, and the engine power is noticeably reduced. Plus, the engine is running a bit rough. I ran car diagnostics and got an error related to the intake air temperature sensor. I suspect it might be defective, what do you think?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Ibiza. The check engine light was driving me crazy. Have you checked the temperature reading from the IAT sensor with car diagnostics? It could be way off.

How did you figure out it was the IAT sensor specifically? And what kind of temperature reading were you getting?

I had the same symptoms: rough running, check engine light. My temperature reading was completely erratic. I'd suggest checking the sensor itself or having a professional take a look. It's likely the IAT sensor causing the trouble.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It helped me confirm my suspicions. I took the car to a shop, and as suspected, the IAT sensor was faulty. They replaced it, costing 155€. The car is running smoothly again.
