Seat Ibiza engine stalling at idle

My 2016 Seat Ibiza with a diesel engine is giving me headaches. It's done 149239 km. The check engine light is on, and the engine stalls at idle sometimes. I suspect a fuel tank ventilation system leak, probably a defective activated charcoal filter. Anyone experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. Check engine light and occasional stalling. It could be a problem with the EVAP system, possibly a faulty pressure sensor. Has the fuel tank been making any strange noises?

Interesting. No strange noises from the fuel tank that I've noticed. When you say 'similar issue', do you mean the exact same symptoms? And was it also related to the emission control system?

Yes, same symptoms. The check engine light was related to emission control. My mechanic diagnosed it as a defective activated charcoal filter causing a leak in the fuel tank ventilation. I would suggest getting it checked out at a workshop.

Took it to the shop as suggested. They confirmed it was the activated charcoal filter in the EVAP system. 275€ later, the check engine light is off and the car runs fine. Thanks for the help!
