Seat Ibiza engine trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is experiencing engine trouble, including a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power. The suspected cause is a defective rail pressure sensor, which can lead to erratic fuel pressure at idle. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the fuel pressure sensor was faulty, and replacing it resolved the issues, restoring the car's performance.

Fuel pressure was within spec at higher RPM, but fluctuated wildly at idle. Did yours do the same? Where was your pressure sensor located?

Yes, those were the exact symptoms I experienced. The erratic fuel pressure at idle is a strong indicator. I suggest you have it checked at a workshop. A faulty pressure sensor can definitely cause those issues.

Took it to the shop. You were right, the fuel pressure sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the check engine light is off. Runs like new. Total cost was 240€.

I had a similar issue with my Ibiza, although it's not the same year. Check engine light, stalling, and power loss sound familiar. Was it a diesel engine? Did you check the fuel pressure?
