Seat Ibiza fuel door issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Ibiza diesel variant has a malfunctioning fuel door release, with an error stored in memory and degraded vehicle functions. The issue is suspected to be a linkage defect, but initial checks show no obvious problems. Suggestions include checking the lock actuator and testing voltage at the actuator connector. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosis confirms a faulty electric actuator, which resolves the issue.

Central locking seems nominal, but I'll scope the lock actuator as per your suggestion. Any specific tests beyond a simple continuity check you'd recommend to definitively isolate the fault?

Beyond continuity, check the voltage at the actuator connector when the fuel door release is activated via the key fob or the internal switch. If voltage is present but the actuator doesn't respond, it's likely the actuator itself. If no voltage, trace the wiring back, might be an electrical fault. But, frankly, given the symptoms, I'd suggest a proper diagnostic at a reputable workshop.

Workshop confirmed a faulty electric actuator. Repair cost was 210€. Resolved.

I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. Check the lock actuator; that's a common failure point. Is the central locking system functioning correctly otherwise?
