Seat Ibiza NOx Sensor Issue

Alright, gearheads, I'm about to lose it! My 2019 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. Check engine light is on, error memory is screaming about the NOx sensor, and I'm pretty sure I smell exhaust fumes. My gut says it's a cable or plug issue with the sensor itself, but I'm pulling my hair out! This NOx sensor failure is driving me nuts. Anyone else dealt with this emission sensor headache? Any tips before I start throwing money at the catalytic converter and the whole exhaust system?

Whoa, that sucks! I had something similar happen with my Ibiza, though I can't remember the exact year, same model though. Check Engine light was on and the car felt sluggish. Did you check the catalytic converter? That was my first thought, but in the end for me, it was a faulty emission sensor. It’s like a tiny gremlin messing with your car's brain!

Emission sensor, huh? Was it throwing the same error codes? And where exactly IS that located? I've been poking around the exhaust system, but I'm not sure I'm looking in the right place.

Yup, same deal! Error codes all pointed to the emission sensor. Honestly, I'm no expert, but I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick. From what I remember, the sensor is somewhere near the catalytic converter. Best bet is to get it properly diagnosed, could save you a ton of time and frustration. Good luck!

Dude, big thanks for the heads-up! Turns out it WAS the NOx sensor cable. Replaced it for 95€ and the check engine light is gone. Feels like a new car again! Appreciate the help!
