Summary of the thread
A 2018 Seat Ibiza was experiencing overheating, with the check engine light on and coolant leaking, suggesting excessive pressure. A software glitch? You mean like, the car's computer is just confused? Where exactly is the data link connector, and what am I even looking for there?

The car's modules might not be talking to each other correctly. Regarding the data link connector, it's usually under the dashboard, near the steering column. You'd be looking for bent pins, corrosion, or anything that looks out of the ordinary. Honestly, though, with overheating and coolant loss, I'd strongly suggest taking it to a trusted workshop for car diagnostics. Don't want to risk further engine damage.

It was indeed a connectivity issue. The shop found a defective plug connection. 95€ later and the Seat is running smoothly again. Thanks for the help!

That sounds awfully familiar. I had something similar happen with my Ibiza (same model). Was it throwing any diagnostic trouble codes related to the ECU or other modules before the overheating started? Could be a software glitch causing miscommunication within the car's systems. Have you checked the data link connector for any corrosion or damage?
