Seat Ibiza power window issue

I am experiencing an issue with the power windows on my 2013 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine. The mileage is currently at 97326 km. The car window can no longer be operated. Diagnostic check reveals an error stored in the error memory, which indicates a potential fault with the window regulator. I suspect the power window switch might be defective. Before I start disassembling the door panel to access the window motor or regulator motor, I wanted to inquire if anyone has encountered a similar problem and could offer some guidance.

I seem to recall having a very similar issue with my Ibiza. If I remember correctly, the power windows stopped working entirely. Did you by any chance also check the car window fuses? It might be worth a look before assuming the worst. I am not an expert, but it could be a simple fix.

That's interesting. When your windows stopped working, did they fail simultaneously, or did one fail before the other? Also, did you have any error codes stored in the system? I am trying to narrow down the possibilities.

In my case, both windows failed at the same time, and yes, there was an error code. Given your description and the error code, it does sound like the power window switch could indeed be the problem. However, without further diagnostics, it's difficult to be absolutely sure. Perhaps it would be wise to consult with a qualified mechanic before you proceed further.

I had the power window switch replaced at a local workshop. The final bill came to around 200€. Everything is working correctly now.
