Seat Ibiza Rough Running Engine

My Seat Ibiza, build year is , engine type Gasoline, has 102122 km on the clock. Symptoms indicate a defective fuel pressure sensor: check engine light, rough engine running, engine stalls at idle, jerking when accelerating. Root cause analysis points to a cable or plug connection issue.

Whoa, that sounds rough! My old Opel Corsa had similar symptoms last year. Check engine light, the whole shebang. Was the engine also cutting out randomly? For me, it turned out to be a faulty sensor messing with the fuel injector timing. Have you checked the fuel economy recently? Mine went downhill fast before I figured it out. Maybe get the fuel system pressure tested?

Cutting out randomly and fuel economy are indeed affected. Which sensor was the culprit in your Corsa?

It was the fuel pressure sensor, as it turned out! It was sending the wrong info to the ECU, which then messed up the fuel injector timing and the whole fuel system. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop. They have the proper tools to diagnose it accurately.
