Seat Ibiza Solar Sensor Fault Heating Issue

Interesting! When you say 'similar', was it the same symptoms - weak heat and a solar sensor fault code? Where exactly did you find the connection issue? Is it easy to get to?

Yeah, same symptoms. Error stored in the error memory and poor heat output. I didn't fix it myself, took it to a workshop. They said it was a corroded connector on the solar sensor. They cleaned it up and all good. Best bet is to get it checked professionally.

Just got back from the workshop. You were spot on! It was indeed a dodgy connection to the solar sensor. 95€ later, and the heating is blasting hot air like it should. Cheers for the advice, saved me a load of messing about!

My Ibiza's hot air engine isn't working, only cold air from the climatronic. Error 31d is showing.

Start by checking the coolant level in your Ibiza, as low coolant can affect the heating system. If the coolant level is fine, inspect the thermostat to ensure it's functioning correctly, as a stuck thermostat can prevent the engine from reaching the proper temperature. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

I had something similar with my Ibiza. Check the sunlight sensor on the dash, seems like a common fault. Has the sensor been calibrated recently?
