Seat Ibiza Stalling at Idle

My 2005 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. Check engine light is on, and it stalls at idle. Think it might be the tank ventilation valve? Heard clogged hoses can cause this.

Stalling at idle and a check engine light? Sounds like a headache! When that EVAP system throws a code, it can be tricky. Is the pressure sensor working properly? Could be a vacuum leak somewhere in the emission system. Have you checked for any obvious cracks or loose connections in the hoses?

Pressure sensor? Where is that located exactly? And how do I check it?

Yes, it could very well be the tank ventilation. The pressure sensor is usually near the charcoal canister, part of the EVAP system. Without proper tools, it's hard to test. Given the symptoms, I'd advise a workshop visit to properly diagnose the fault.

Just wanted to say you were right. The shop confirmed it was the tank ventilation valve and clogged hoses. 175€ later and the Ibiza is running smoothly. Thanks for the help!
