Seat Ibiza starting trouble

Alright, mechanics! I'm tearing my hair out here. My 2006 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. Got almost 120000 km on the clock. Terminal 30 - continuous plus - keeps getting interrupted. The car starts poorly, like it's struggling. I reckon the battery's either heavily discharged or just plain defective. I've checked the Wiring Harness for obvious damage, but nothing jumps out. Any ideas before I end up setting it on fire?

Whoa, sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my Ibiza. Check your battery connections and the Circuit Breaker box. Could be a Short Circuit somewhere draining the battery. Is your Starter Motor cranking okay?

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the Circuit Breaker box located? And how can I check for a Short Circuit without frying something?

Yeah, the Circuit Breaker box is usually near the battery or under the dash. Best not to mess with a Short Circuit yourself unless you know what you're doing. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They found the battery was done for, and there was a minor issue with the Charging System. Saved me a lot of headaches!

Thanks for the insight! Took her to the shop, and you nailed it. Battery was toast. New battery fitted and the Charging System is working fine. All in, cost me 290€. Cheers!
