Seat Ibiza Sun Blind Issue

I'm experiencing an issue with the sun blind on my 2011 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine. The sun blind no longer retracts or extends properly; it's stuck in one position. I scanned the car, and an error is stored in the error memory. From what I've gathered, the motor of the sunblind is likely defective. Has anyone else encountered this? Any advice would be appreciated regarding this interior accessory issue.

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I had the same problem with my Ibiza's window visor a while back. The UV protection sun blind just wouldn't retract properly. Was super annoying. Did you check the fuse? Sometimes it's just a simple fix.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did check the fuse, and it seems to be fine. Is there anything else I should look at before bringing it to a professional? Perhaps something with the car interior mechanism itself?

Yeah, if the fuse is okay, then it's most likely the motor itself. I wouldn't mess with the interior accessory mechanism too much; you could end up making it worse. I'd advise taking it to a workshop. It's a common problem, apparently.

I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed that the sun blind motor was indeed defective. The sun protection is now fully functional again. The final bill came to 330€.
