Seat Ibiza tire pressure error message although the tire pressure is OK

Tire pressure to low

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Seat Ibiza (built in 2015, diesel). The tire pressure indicator always shows a pressure that is too low. I suspect that it is due to a signal error in the tire pressure sensor. Have any of you had similar experiences? How was the problem solved at your garage? What tips and tricks can you give me? Thank you!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Seat Leon (2014, petrol). In my case, the control unit of the tire pressure monitoring system was defective. I only have some experience with cars, so I went straight to the garage. They replaced the control unit and the whole thing cost me 355.0 euros. Fortunately, it solved the problem for me. It would be great if you could tell me your car model and the exact year of manufacture so that I can help you more precisely. Hope that helps you! Regards

Hey, thanks for your reply! My Ibiza is from 2015, diesel and currently has 216543 km on the clock. I'll probably go to the garage and have the control unit checked. Your tip will definitely help me! Greetings

Hey, I'm glad my tip helped you! Well, I actually had something like this with my Seat Leon (same model year, 2014 petrol engine). In my case, however, it wasn't the control unit, but a faulty tire pressure sensor. These things can fail over time, especially with higher mileage, which you already have. In my case, they first read out the sensor at the garage and found that it was no longer sending the correct values. Replacing the sensor then cost me around 70 euros per sensor, plus labor. Of course, you can also have the control unit checked at the same time while they're at it. So my tip: It's best to go to the garage and have both the sensors and the control unit checked. Sometimes it's easier if you have both possibilities in mind. It costs a bit, but safety first, especially when it comes to tire pressure. Good luck and hopefully everything works out! Greetings
