Seat Inca ABS and traction control problem

Yes, I did a diagnostic scan and it shows a lateral acceleration sensor fault. The exact code is pointing to a defective control unit. I am wondering if anyone has had similar issues. What is the relationship between yaw rate and the lateral sensor?

A defective lateral acceleration sensor can definitely cause those symptoms. It affects the yaw rate calculation, which is crucial for the ABS, traction control, and vehicle stability systems to function correctly. Given the age of the vehicle and the diagnostic pointing to the control unit, it's likely the culprit. 1000€ sounds about right for a replacement and recalibration at a workshop. It's not a simple DIY fix without proper equipment.

Okay, I appreciate you confirming my suspicions. Looks like I'm heading to the workshop. Ouch, 1000€ is gonna hurt, but at least I know what to expect. Thanks again for your help!

ABS light and traction control issues on older Seats can be tricky. The lateral acceleration sensor is often linked to the ABS control unit. Have you had a diagnostic scan done to confirm the fault code specifically points to that sensor? Also, have you noticed any changes in vehicle stability, especially during cornering?
