Seat Inca ABS Fault

Speed signal fault, huh? Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, although it was a petrol engine. The ABS light kept popping up on the dashboard, and the traction control was all over the place. Is the speedo acting up at all? Have you had a diagnostic check done? What codes are showing up?

Thanks for sharing. The speedometer seems fine, and I did get a diagnostic. It points towards the ABS control unit being the issue. Just hesitant to replace it without being absolutely sure. Did your diagnostic also point to the control unit? And was there any other malfunction?

Yes, the diagnostic on my Astra also pointed to the ABS control unit. Pretty much the same symptoms as yours: ABS light, traction control going haywire. We checked all the wheel sensors first, but they were fine. Honestly, if the diagnostic is solid, it probably is the control unit. I'd get a second opinion, maybe, but it does sound like that's the culprit. I ended up getting it replaced at a workshop. Good luck!

The diagnostic was conclusive the control unit was indeed faulty. I had it replaced, and the ABS malfunction is now resolved. The transmission is working properly. Cost around 1000€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks for your input!
