Seat Inca Air Conditioning Sensor Problem

I'm desperate! My Seat Inca, built in 2001 with a diesel engine and only 52255 km on the clock, is giving me headaches. It seems I have a faulty BMW AUC/air conditioning sensor and the blower motor is not working anymore. I suspect there is an issue with a cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced a similar sensor fault? What could be the problem with the HVAC sensor? I hope it's nothing too serious and I can avoid high costs.

Hello there, I think I might have encountered a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa. If I remember correctly, the cabin air sensor was faulty, causing the air conditioning to malfunction, so it might not be exactly the same. However, the symptoms sound familiar, and it could be the same issue. I'm not entirely sure, but the cable connection is worth investigating. But keep in mind I'm just a novice, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

That's interesting! Was the blower motor not working as well in your Opel Corsa? And if I may ask, was the diagnosis complicated, or did they find the fault quickly?

Yes, exactly! The blower motor was also affected in my Opel Corsa. It took a while for them to identify the fault. I remember they mentioned something about measuring the resistance of the sensor. I would suggest visiting a professional workshop. Perhaps they can quickly identify and fix the problem.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. It seems like the error was indeed related to a defective cable or a faulty plug connection, as suspected. After visiting the workshop, the air conditioning sensor was replaced. Now everything works as expected, and the blower is running again. The final bill was 95€, so it wasn't too bad.
