Seat Inca Air Suspension Problem

I'm at my wit's end with my 2001 Seat Inca diesel! The air suspension has completely failed. The vehicle is leaning, and I get an error message on the speedometer. Of course, the low beam shines way too low now. The error memory also has a fault stored. From what I've read, the likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this suspension pump problem? Any tips on where to start looking before I throw money at new suspension components or the whole load leveling system?

Summary of the thread

The 2001 Seat Inca diesel experienced a complete failure of the air suspension, causing the vehicle to lean and display an error message. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection to the suspension pump. After checking for air leaks and confirming the pump wasn't running, the issue was resolved by repairing the faulty connection, costing 95€. The advice to focus on electrical connections proved invaluable in solving the problem efficiently.

I had a similar issue with my Inca's air suspension. The ride height was all over the place, and the warning light was driving me crazy. Have you checked for any obvious air leaks in the suspension components? That was my first thought. Also, is the suspension pump running constantly or not at all?

Air leaks were my first thought as well, but I didn't find anything obvious. The suspension pump isn't running at all, as far as I can tell. When you had this problem, was the repair straightforward, or did it require specialized tools and knowledge?

If the pump isn't running, and you've checked for air leaks, it's likely an electrical issue. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They'll have the right diagnostic tools to pinpoint the fault. It could save you a lot of time and frustration.

I wanted to share that the issue is now resolved! As suspected, it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection to the suspension pump. The repair cost me 95€, which is a relief. Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction; your advice was invaluable!
