Seat Inca brake fluid loss

I'm a bit worried. I've got a 2002 Seat Inca, diesel engine. The brake fluid warning light came on and the level is really low. The brake pedal feels kind of strange too. Could it just be worn brakes?

Low brake fluid is never good. I had a similar problem with my Inca. Check your brake lines for leaks. Also, when was the last brake inspection?

Where exactly did you find the leak? Did your brake pedal feel weird too?

Yeah the pedal definitely felt spongy. The leak was in one of the rear brake lines. Honestly, if your brake fluid is that low, I'd get it checked by a professional. It could be something serious, like the master cylinder. Better safe than sorry with brakes.

I took it to a workshop. You were right, it was a leak. Had to replace some brake lines and get new pads. Cost me 480€ but it's sorted. Thanks for your help.
