Seat Inca Climate Control Issues

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've got a Seat Inca, build year 2002 with a gasoline engine. The climate control panel isn't working properly. There's an error stored in the memory, the heating output is really low, and the air conditioning system won't switch on at all. I've read that it could be a defective cable or plug connection, but I'm not really sure where to start looking or what to do. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

The Seat Inca's climate control issues were characterized by low heating output and a non-functional air conditioning system, with an error stored in the memory. Potential causes included defective cable or plug connections, faulty fuses, or a malfunctioning blower motor. The solution involved checking the fuses, wiggling electrical connectors, and ultimately replacing a faulty electrical connector on the HVAC system control panel, which resolved the problem.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

That sounds like a pain. I'm no expert, but have you checked all the fuses related to the climate control system? Could be a simple fix. Also, are you sure the blower motor is actually working? Sometimes they can fail intermittently. Have you tried wiggling the electrical connectors to the control panel?

Thanks for the suggestions. Where exactly would I find the fuses for the climate control? And when you say 'wiggling the electrical connectors', do you mean just giving them a little nudge, or is there a specific way to check them?

Okay, so if the fuses are all good and wiggling the electrical connectors didn't help, then it probably is a wiring harness issue, or maybe the control panel itself is faulty. Since you have low heat and the AC won't switch on, it does sound like something bigger than just a fuse. Honestly, with electrical stuff, unless you're really confident, it's probably best to get it checked by someone who knows what they're doing. Could save you from causing more damage. I'd recommend a garage, especially considering the error code. It's probably worth 95€ to get it fixed properly.

Just letting you know it's sorted. A local garage found a dodgy electrical connector on the HVAC system control panel. A new connector and a quick check of the wiring harness, and now the air conditioning system switches on, blower motor works, and heating is much better. Cost me 95€, which seems fair. Thanks for the help.
