Seat Inca Cruise Control Problem

I'm experiencing an issue with the cruise control on my 2001 Seat Inca with a gasoline engine. It has about 161477 km on the clock. The cruise control has completely stopped working. I have checked the error memory and there's an error stored related to the cruise control system. My initial thought, based on some research, is that it might be a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. I've visually inspected the pedal switch and checked for any blown fuses, but everything seems fine. Any ideas where to look next? Could it be related to the throttle position sensor?

Whoa, cruise control failure is the worst! I had a similar problem with my Inca. Have you checked the speed sensor?

Interesting. Where exactly is the speed sensor located, and how would I go about checking it? Also, did you have an error light on the dashboard?

Yes, the error light was on the dashboard. Honestly, I'm not that technical. I just took mine to a workshop, they sorted it out pretty quickly. It could be a faulty connection as you suspect. Best to let the pros handle it.

I wanted to report back. The garage found a defective cable connection as suspected. The invoice was 95€, so not too bad. Thanks for your help.
