Seat Inca Diesel Engine Issue

Cheers for the quick reply! Nah, I don't have a multimeter or any of that fancy gear. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff, to be honest. How would I even check the resistance? And what am I looking for?

Yeah, sounds like a dead glow plug alright. I wouldn't mess around too much, especially if you're not familiar with diesel engines. If you keep driving with a failed glow plug, you risk incomplete engine combustion and potential engine misfire, which can cause more damage in the long run. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get the glow plugs replaced. It's a pretty straightforward job for them.

Seriously appreciate the help! Took it to the shop, and yep, glow plugs were cactus. Cost me 440€, but at least the engine light is gone and it's running sweet again. Thanks a bunch!

Sounds like a classic glow plug issue to me. I had something similar with my Inca, though I can't recall the exact year. The preheating light stayed on, and I could feel the engine misfire, especially when it was cold. Did you check the glow plugs themselves? Do you have a multimeter to check resistance?
