So, you reckon it's definitely the intake air temperature sensor then? How did you figure it out on your Inca?

Yeah, pretty sure it's the temp sensor. I had the same error code after running car diagnostics. My mechanic confirmed it. To be honest, I'm not that skilled with fixing cars myself, so I just took it to the workshop. They swapped out the sensor, and the engine issues disappeared. Rough running was gone, power was back, and the check engine light switched off. If you're not confident doing it yourself, I would recommend going to a trusted mechanic.

Cheers! I took your advice and got the temperature sensor replaced. Cost me 155€, but the van's running sweet again. No more engine issues!

I had a similar issue with my Seat Inca, although I've got the petrol version. Check engine light was on and the car was running rough. Have you plugged it into a car diagnostics tool to read the error code? It sounds like it could be the intake air temperature sensor. When mine went bad, the air temperature readings were all over the place, which messed with the engine's fuel mixture. I read somewhere that a faulty air temperature sensor can cause all sorts of engine issues, from reduced power to poor fuel economy.
