Interesting. How did you figure out it was the throttle body? Did you have to replace the whole thing, or just some part of it?

Well, first I thought it was something else, but then I read somewhere that reduced engine power and the check engine light on Seats often points to a throttle body issue. And yes, I had to replace the whole throttle body, sadly. I would recommend going to a workshop to have it checked professionally. The replacement cost can vary.

Took it to the workshop as suggested. They confirmed it was the throttle valve. Got it replaced for 265€. Runs like new now! Thanks for the help.

I think I can help you. I had a similar problem with my Seat Ibiza. The check engine light was on, and the car was in limp mode. Have you checked the air flow? In my case, it was the throttle body that was faulty, and it caused similar symptoms.
