Seat Inca transmission issue resolved

My 2003 Seat Inca with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. The transmission indicator light and check engine light are on. It's stuck in emergency mode, shifting is rough, and I hear grinding noises. Seems to slip too. Error memory shows a radiator oil pressure defect. Could this be the cause?

I had a similar issue with my Inca's automatic gearbox. The transmission light, check engine light, and emergency mode sounds familiar. Did you check the radiator coolant level? A pressure gauge could help with leak detection in the cooling system. It might be a simple cable or plug issue.

Thanks, that's helpful. Where exactly was the cable or plug connection located on your Inca? Was it easy to access for inspection?

The defective plug was at the radiator itself. Consider it like a loose wire dimming a light. I suggest you visit a workshop to properly diagnose and repair the issue, given the symptoms you described.

You were right. The shop found a defective plug connection on the radiator. Cost 95€ and now it's shifting smoothly. Thanks for the help.
