Seat Leon bumper antenna issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Seat Leon owner experienced issues with the car's locking system and engine start, linked to a bumper antenna error. The problem was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug. A similar case suggested checking the wiring, particularly the automotive antenna. The issue was resolved by replacing a corroded cable, restoring full functionality.

Intermittently? It stopped working completely. Error code pointed to the fm antenna though. You think it's related?

Yes, same symptoms. Car radio also had bad reception. Definitely sounds like the automotive antenna. Check the wiring, but I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll sort out the car antenna repair quickly.

Right, thanks for the help. It was indeed the bumper antenna. The cable was corroded. Replaced it for 95€. Everything is working again.

I had a similar issue with my Leon. Could be the bumper antenna. Does your key remote work intermittently?
