Seat Leon climate control issues

My 2022 Seat Leon with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The climate control panel is completely dead. I've got almost 200000 km on the clock. There's an error stored in the memory. The heating output is minimal, and the air conditioning won't switch on at all. My initial thought is a defective cable or connector, possibly related to the power supply. Has anyone experienced this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Seat Leon with a diesel engine is experiencing a complete failure of the climate control panel, with minimal heating output and non-functional air conditioning. The issue is suspected to be related to a defective cable or connector, possibly affecting the power supply. A similar problem was resolved by checking and repairing faulty electrical connectors, specifically those related to the climate control unit's power supply. The dealership confirmed a faulty connector as the cause and repaired it, restoring the HVAC system's functionality.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Leon. Although mine is an older model, I also experienced a complete failure of the climate control. The air conditioning wouldn't engage, and the heating was barely functional. Have you checked the electrical connectors going to the HVAC system? A loose or corroded connection can cause all sorts of problems. By the way, 'HVAC' stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. It's the whole system responsible for climate control in your car.

Thanks for the tip. When you say electrical connectors, are you referring to the main power supply to the climate control panel, or are there other specific connectors I should be checking? Is there also a specific fuse for the climate control system? Maybe point me in the right direction as to where these might be?

Yes, I was referring to the main power supply and any other connectors going into the climate control unit. The low heat and non-functioning AC points to that. I didn't delve too deep myself at the time, I just sent it to the workshop and they fixed it. They did say it was a faulty connection. Considering you've checked and still have doubts, perhaps it's best to get it professionally diagnosed to avoid any further issues.

The dealership found a faulty connector on the climate control unit's power supply. 95€ later and the HVAC system is back in business. Thanks for the input.
