Seat Leon clutch pedal switch issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Seat Leon with a diesel engine was experiencing issues related to a clutch pedal switch error, affecting the gear selection display, cruise control, and starting functionality. The problem was suspected to be a faulty cable or plug on the clutch pedal switch. A similar issue was confirmed by another individual, suggesting the switch as the likely cause. Cleaning the contacts on the cable and plug resolved the issue, restoring all functions without needing professional repair.

Interesting! When you say similar, do you mean the exact same symptoms? Because it's really odd that the gear selection isn't showing on the dash and the cruise control packed it in at the same time. Plus, it struggles to start sometimes, like it doesn't know the clutch is down. Did yours do all that?

Yep, pretty much the same deal. Gear selection gone, cruise control dead, occasional car starting drama. I'd still get it checked by a workshop, just to be sure. But it really sounds like the switch.

Huge thanks for the insight! It was indeed the clutch pedal switch. I cleaned the contacts on the cable and plug, and everything sprang back to life. Saved myself a trip to the shop and 95€!

Sounds like a faulty clutch switch to me. I had a similar issue with my Leon. Does the car recognize when the clutch pedal is depressed at all?
