Seat Leon Diesel Engine Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Seat Leon diesel is experiencing significant power loss, suspected to be caused by previous chip tuning. The issue is confirmed by an error code stored in the vehicle's memory. The suggested solution is to have the car diagnosed and restored to its original factory settings by a professional workshop, which successfully resolves the problem.

Yep, used a scan tool and got a fault code. The dashboard light was on too, obviously. Did yours throw the same codes?

Yeah, mine had the same symptoms. It turned out that the previous owner had it chipped and it messed things up. I’d suggest taking it to a workshop that knows their vehicle diagnostics. They should be able to sort it.

Turns out it WAS dodgy chip tuning. Cost me 180€ to get it sorted and put back to the original factory settings. What a headache!

I have a Leon too. I had a similar issue with reduced power and the check engine light on. Did you use a scan tool to read the fault code?
