Seat Leon diesel lighting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Seat Leon diesel is experiencing random lighting issues, with an error memory indicating a fault related to the light switch. Initial checks of the bulbs did not resolve the problem, leading to suspicions of a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to inspect the dimmer switch for dashboard lights, as it can cause similar issues. Ultimately, a garage confirmed a faulty connection, resolving the problem for a cost of 95€.

Interesting. Where exactly is that dimmer switch located, and what kind of weirdness did you experience? Was it just the dashboard lights or other lights too?

Yeah, it was a while ago now, but I remember the dashboard lights flickering, and the tail lights were acting strange too. The dimmer switch is usually near the headlight switch. Honestly, I'd suggest getting a workshop to take a look, unless you're really confident with automotive electrics.

Thanks for the info. I took it to a garage and they confirmed it was a dodgy connection as you suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. All good now.

I had a similar issue with my Leon. Check the dimmer switch for the dashboard lights. Sometimes that can cause all sorts of weirdness with the car lighting.
