Backpressure sensor, huh? Where is that located, and is it something I can check myself without special tools?

Yeah, the sensor is on the DPF itself, usually. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much. In my case, the DPF was completely clogged. The sensor was fine but the backpressure was insane. Take it to a workshop, they'll diagnose it properly. Could save you some headache!

Took it to the shop, and you were right. DPF was gone. Cost me 1550€ to replace. Ouch. Thanks for the heads up!

Car doesn't smoke, must turn off the engine and restart, and then full power again.

This could be related to the turbocharger or an issue with the electronic control systems, such as a faulty sensor or actuator. Start by checking for any stored error codes using an OBD-II scanner, as this can provide clues to the underlying issue. If you don't have access to a scanner, many auto parts stores offer free code reading services. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Leon. Reduced power and some smoke. Have you checked the backpressure sensor? It could be a sensor fault messing things up.
