Fuel economy was definitely worse. How did you resolve your issue? Was it the car sensors?

Yes, that was it exactly. The check engine was related to that. Ultimately, I had to replace the high pressure fuel pump. It's not a cheap fix, I suggest you take it to a workshop as soon as possible.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a mechanic. Turns out the high pressure fuel pump was faulty. Cost me 1510€ for the repair. Ouch!

That sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Leon. Check engine light, engine misfire, and the car felt like it was struggling. Did you notice any change in fuel economy?
