Consistent error. So, you think it's likely just a wiring issue? Is there any chance a full alarm reset could fix it, or am I wasting my time?

If the error is consistent, an alarm reset probably won’t help. A wiring issue is possible. Given the fault detection points to a defective connection, and the alarm system is non-functional, it's best to get it checked properly. Probably best to get it to a workshop.

Thanks for the input. The local garage found a dodgy connector on the siren. 95€ later, the alarm is working again. What a relief!

Sounds like a pain. Is the error message consistent, or does it come and go? A faulty connection would make sense with those symptoms.
