Seat Leon Hybrid Brake Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Leon hybrid exhibited a brake issue with a soft pedal and an error message, suspected to be linked to the brake booster pressure sensor. The problem arose after bleeding the brake system, potentially introducing air into the ABS, affecting pressure readings. The solution involved a professional diagnosis confirming the faulty sensor and air in the system, leading to a sensor replacement and proper brake bleeding, resolving the issue.

Yeah, I did bleed the brakes recently. Could an incorrect brake bleed really throw the pressure sensor off like that? I mean, it seems like a pretty sensitive component to be affected by something like that.

Definitely. Think of it like a clogged artery – air in the ABS system throws off the pressure readings and can cause the sensor to report incorrect values. Get it properly bled, and if the sensor is still throwing codes, then you probably need to replace the replacement parts. Wouldn't hurt to get a professional to take a look.

Big thanks! It seems you nailed it. Dropped it at a shop, they hooked it up to diagnostic tools, confirmed the pressure sensor was borked, and found the ABS system had air in it from a bad brake bleed. New pressure sensor plus bleed and I'm back on the road. 90€ all in. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a dodgy brake booster pressure sensor. I had similar symptoms – error message and spongy brake pedal – on my old Vauxhall Corsa after a brake service. Could be the sensor itself, or something messing with the ABS system. Check if any error codes are stored. Did you recently bleed the brakes?
