Seat Leon Hybrid Gearbox Slipping

I am experiencing a concerning issue with my 2020 Seat Leon hybrid. With 195838 km on the odometer, the gearbox slips and shifts uncleanly. Initial assessment suggests a transfer case oil wear fault, likely caused by defective gears. I am trying to understand the potential scope of the problem.

I also have a Leon, and I experienced something similar. The gearbox felt off, especially during shifts. Have you checked for any signs of oil leakage near the transfer case?

I appreciate the insight. When you had the issue, was it definitively gear wear in the transfer case itself? Did you also notice any specific gear oil issues?

Yes, in my case it was confirmed to be gear wear within the transfer case. Low gear oil was another symptom. I'd suggest a workshop inspection to confirm.

Thank you for the confirmation. I had the transfer case examined at a workshop. Mechanical wear was indeed found on the gears due to oil leakage, resulting in the oil wear fault. The repair cost came to 330€.

Hello, I'm having a problem with my 245 hp Leon Cupra... now totaling 24,500 km. The mechanic was replaced at 21,000 km, because around 18,000 km, there was a strange noise in reverse, then jerks... I no longer have jerks but still the same noise in reverse. Cupra diagnosis, the gearbox and the electrical system need to be replaced. 😬😬😬

Start by checking if there are any loose or damaged components around the gearbox area that might be causing the noise. Also, ensure that the gearbox oil level is correct and that there are no leaks. If the noise persists, it might be best to have a professional inspect it further, especially since the diagnosis suggests significant issues. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!
