Seat Leon Hybrid Start Stop Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Seat Leon hybrid experienced a malfunction with its start-stop system, indicated by a warning light and error memory fault. The engine would shut off in Eco mode but fail to restart automatically. A discharged battery was suspected as a common cause in hybrids. After a workshop visit, it was confirmed that the battery was the issue, and replacing it resolved the problem, restoring the start-stop system's functionality.

When your Leon had this issue, was it intermittent or constant? Was there an error stored? Trying to gather as much information as possible before going to the workshop.

In my case, the problem became more frequent. At first, it was intermittent, but eventually, it stopped working completely. Yes, there was an error stored about low voltage. I'd recommend getting the battery checked soon. Maybe check it yourself with a multimeter, but a workshop visit is probably best.

Just letting you know, the workshop visit confirmed the battery was the issue. A replacement cost 290€, and now the start-stop system is perfect. Eco mode is running and the engine starts smoothly. No more warning light!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Leon, though mine wasn't a hybrid. The start-stop was erratic, and the engine would cut out at lights, which was really annoying. Did the starter motor seem to struggle at all when starting? Checking the battery is a good first step.
