Seat Leon Hybrid Transmission Problem

I have a 2023 Seat Leon hybrid with 121683 km on the odometer. I am experiencing a problem: radiator oil pressure defective. The transmission indicator light and check engine light are both illuminated. The automatic transmission has entered emergency mode and isn't shifting correctly; it slips and shifts uncleanly, with grinding noises during gear changes. An error is stored in the memory. I suspect the cause might be a defective cable or plug connection of the component. Does anyone know more about this?

Whoa, that sounds rough! My old Vauxhall Astra, similar year to yours, did something like that last year. The transmission was acting all kinds of crazy. It felt like driving a bucking bronco! Check Engine light was on, and the gears were slipping like crazy. Have you checked your coolant levels? Maybe it’s linked to that?

Interesting. So, what exactly was the issue with your Vauxhall? Was it also related to radiator oil pressure or something else entirely? And what about the car overheating, oil cooler, coolant leak, cooling fan, pressure gauge? Did you experience any of that?

Okay, so mine wasn’t exactly radiator oil pressure; I’m no expert, but I think my mechanic called it a faulty transmission oil cooler. It was leaking coolant, and that messed with the transmission. The symptoms were super similar, though! I would suggest a mechanic to take a look. It could be a simple fix, but messing with transmissions is like performing surgery on your car – best left to a professional.

The issue was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks for the support.
