Oil level, huh? Where exactly is the pressure gauge located, and how difficult is it to check the level myself? I'm reasonably handy, but I don't want to mess anything up further.

Yeah, low oil can definitely cause pressure problems, impacting the sensor. It's like trying to run a marathon with no water – things are gonna break down. Honestly, checking it yourself can be tricky without the right tools and knowledge. I'd suggest getting it checked by a professional to avoid doing more damage. Could save you money in the long run.

Appreciate the insight. Took it to the workshop, turns out the oil level was indeed low, causing the pressure sensor to throw a fit. They topped it up and replaced the pressure switch, all in for 365€. Shifts like new now.

Sounds familiar. My Leon had similar transmission issues a while back. Started with the warning light and then the gears started acting up. Did you check the gearbox oil level?
