Seat Leon Keyless Entry Failure
Summary of the thread
The keyless entry on a 2013 Seat Leon's driver's door stopped working, and an error code was displayed. The suspected causes included a wiring fault or a bad plug connection, possibly involving the door actuator. The issue was resolved by a mechanic who identified and fixed a faulty cable and plug connection to the door actuator, restoring the keyless entry functionality.

It's just the driver's side door. How would I check the door actuator, and could a dodgy actuator really kill the keyless entry? Central locking works fine from the key.

If it's just one door and the central locking is fine, it sounds like a localized issue within that door. A failing door actuator, or more likely the wiring harness or connector to it, could disable keyless entry. The sensor for that is probably integrated into the actuator. Honestly, tracing the wiring and testing the actuator properly needs diagnostic tools. If you aren't comfortable with that, a workshop visit is probably the best bet.

Spot on! A local mechanic found a faulty cable and plug connection to the door actuator. Cost me 95€, and now the keyless entry is working again. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a pain. Have you checked the door actuator itself? Sometimes they can get a bit wonky and cause sensor issues. Is it just one door, or are multiple doors affected? Does the central locking still work okay?
