Seat Leon Power Steering Problem

Alright, need some help here. My 2020 Seat Leon (gasoline engine) with 116346 km on the clock is giving me grief. The power steering is acting up! The steering wheel vibrates like crazy, the handling feels spongy, and the steering is way heavier than usual, feels like the power steering has completely failed. There's even an error stored in the memory. Thinking it might be a bad cable or plug somewhere in the steering system or even the steering rack itself. Any ideas?

Woah, sounds rough! Had something similar happen with my old Vauxhall Astra. The steering went all wonky. Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level? Or maybe it's a pressure hose issue?

Interesting! Was your steering heavy too? And did you have any error lights on the dash?

Yep, heavy steering was the main thing, felt like I was driving a tank! And yeah, the error light was on constantly. Honestly, after checking the easy stuff, I just took it to a workshop. Best bet is to get it checked professionally, could be a more serious steering pump issue.

You were spot on! Turns out it was a dodgy cable connection. 95€ later and she's steering like a dream again. Thanks a lot!
