Thanks, that's helpful. When you say 'window control module', where exactly is that located? And did your power windows fail completely, or was it intermittent?

Mine failed completely. The module is usually integrated within the door panel itself. Given the error code points to the switch, it's a likely culprit. Still, inspect the wiring – corrosion can cause havoc. If you're not comfortable with electrical work, I'd recommend a workshop. Save yourself the headache.

Big thanks for the input. Ended up taking it to a local garage. Turns out the power window switch was indeed faulty. New one fitted, total cost was around 200€. Annoying but at least it's sorted. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Seat Leon. I'd start by checking the window control module and the associated wiring harness. A diagnostic scan should pinpoint the error. The window mechanism itself might be fine; these cars are prone to electrical gremlins.
