Seat Leon Washer System Failure

I am at my wits' end! My 2020 Seat Leon Hybrid has developed a rather annoying fault. The headlight cleaning system has stopped working, and to add insult to injury, the windshield washer system is also dead! I've checked the fuses (as far as I can tell), and they seem okay. I suspect it might be a cable connection issue with the pump or a faulty relay. Before I take it to the garage, has anyone experienced anything similar? I really don't want to get ripped off by mechanics!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar thing with my Leon, though I can't remember the exact year. Check the headlight washer pump, could be a leak or a blockage. Does the washer pump make a noise, or is it dead silent?

Thanks for the quick response! Silent as the grave, no noise whatsoever. When you say 'headlight washer pump', is that the same pump as the windshield washer, or are they separate? Where is it located?

Ah, if it is silent then it is more likely the pump has failed or the connection to it. They are separate pumps usually. It might be a clog in the hose, but more likely power. Honestly, tracing electrical faults can be a pain. Unless you are really confident, a workshop might be your best bet. Could save you a load of time and frustration. I ended up going to one in the end, it wasn't too expensive.

You were spot on! Took it to the local garage and they found a defective cable connection to the pump. 165€ later and it's all sorted. Big thanks for your help!
