Seat Mii ABS light issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Seat Mii electric vehicle displayed an ABS warning light, indicating a fault with the lateral acceleration sensor, suggesting a defective ABS control unit. This issue can affect the ABS, traction control, and stability systems. The recommended solution is to visit a workshop for a proper diagnosis and potentially replace the control unit, which resolved the problem in this case.

Yaw rate and steering angle sensor, huh? I don't recall seeing those specifically mentioned in the diagnostic scan, but honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. How did those sensors connect to your ABS problem?

Right, in my case, the faulty lateral acceleration sensor was messing with the ABS, traction control, and stability systems. The workshop confirmed that a defective control unit can cause this. Unfortunately, it is not a cheap fix. I would recommend a visit to the workshop to properly diagnose the error.

Took it to the workshop, and the diagnostic scan confirmed the lateral acceleration sensor was faulty. Apparently, it's part of the ABS control unit. They replaced the whole unit, costing 1000€. At least the safety warning is gone and the traction control is working again. Thanks for the heads up about the steering angle issue; I'll keep an eye on that.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar ABS lamp issue with my Mii. Did the diagnostic scan mention anything about the yaw rate or steering angle sensor? Those can sometimes be related.
