Could you please elaborate on what was the cause of the issue in your Skoda? Did you also encounter errors stored in the error memory? And were there any specific components affected by the undervoltage, such as the AC relay or perhaps the belt tensioner?

In my case, the garage suspected a faulty voltage regulator which caused undervoltage and sometimes overvoltage. The error was also stored in the error memory. The air conditioning was affected because the A/C compressor requires a stable voltage to operate correctly. I would recommend visiting a workshop; they will be able to diagnose the root cause and perform the necessary repairs.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It seems undervoltage was indeed the culprit, leading to the A/C compressor shutting down. I had it checked and the error memory indicated a low voltage issue. The AC relay was replaced, and the air conditioning is now functioning correctly. The repair cost me 240€.

That's a frustrating issue. I had a similar problem with my Skoda Citigo, although it's a petrol engine. The air conditioning would cut out intermittently. Have you checked the AC relay? Sometimes a faulty relay can cause the A/C system to behave erratically. Also, could you explain what you mean by 'undervoltage'? It's a new term to me.
