Seat Mii Electric coding errors

My 2020 Seat Mii electric is throwing errors. The car has 132744 km. I'm getting error messages on the infotainment system and speedometer. Engine diagnostics indicate a fault code. I suspect incorrect vehicle coding. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

The 2020 Seat Mii Electric was experiencing error messages on the infotainment system and speedometer, with diagnostics indicating a fault code likely due to incorrect vehicle coding. A diagnostic scanner confirmed control module errors and coding discrepancies. Resetting the codes temporarily cleared the errors, but a professional technician was needed to accurately diagnose and correct the coding issue. The shop resolved the problem by updating and recoding the control module to the latest version, effectively eliminating the errors.

The fault codes on your Seat Mii electric, along with the information displayed on the infotainment system and speedometer, suggest a potential issue with the vehicle's coding. Have you attempted to use a scan tool to retrieve the specific fault codes? Also, were any recent software changes or modifications performed on the vehicle before these issues started?

A diagnostic scanner revealed control module errors and the error memory indicated coding discrepancies. Resetting the codes with the scan tool might be a reasonable approach?

A diagnostic scanner revealing control module errors and the error memory indicating coding discrepancies strongly points towards a coding malfunction. While resetting the codes with a diagnostic scanner might temporarily clear the error messages, it is unlikely to rectify the underlying problem if the coding is genuinely incorrect. It is advisable to seek assistance from a qualified technician with expertise in vehicle diagnostics and coding. They can accurately diagnose the root cause of the coding issue and implement the necessary corrections to the control module's programming. I would recommend having the vehicle inspected by a professional as soon as possible.

The shop confirmed a coding issue. They reset the codes, brought the control module to the latest version and recoded it correctly. It cost 360€, but the error is resolved.
