Seat Mii Electric door lock issue

I'm experiencing some weird issues with my 2020 Seat Mii Electric. Neither of the doors can be locked or unlocked. I suspect it's related to a faulty door contact signal. I've read online that a defective cable or plug connection of the component could be the culprit, which might cause an electrical issue. Has anyone experienced something similar, or have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this door sensor problem further?

I had a similar issue with my Mii recently. The door wouldn't lock or unlock sometimes. Have you checked the door switch itself? It might be a faulty door sensor or a loose plug connection.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'door switch', do you mean the actual physical switch inside the car, or something else within the door itself? Any idea what I should look for, like a specific wire or connector?

Yes, I mean the door sensor inside the door itself. In my case, it was the wiring harness that connects to the sensor. The mechanic told me that this is a frequent problem. You could try to check the wiring, but honestly, it can be tricky. If you're not comfortable, I would suggest taking it to a workshop before you damage something.

Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective wiring harness in the door, causing the contact signal issue. They replaced it for 95€. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks again for your help!
