Seat Mii Electric Rear Window Heating Problem
Summary of the thread
The 2020 Seat Mii electric's rear window heating was not functioning, and an error was stored in the error memory. The issue was suspected to be related to a heavily discharged or defective battery, as the windshield heating was also less efficient. A similar past experience suggested checking the battery voltage, and a workshop confirmed the battery was indeed the problem. Replacing the battery resolved the issue, restoring the rear defroster's functionality and clearing the error message.

That's interesting. No, I haven't noticed any other electrical issues. But how did you figure out it was the battery? Did you get an error code, too? And was your windshield heating also affected?

I had the same error code related to the thermal window. And yes, the windshield heating was also affected – it just wasn't as effective as usual. In my case, the heating coil on the rear defroster draws a lot of power, and a weak battery just couldn't handle it. If you have a multimeter, you could check the battery voltage yourself, but honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly test the battery and diagnose the issue for sure.

It was the battery. The workshop confirmed it was heavily discharged and likely defective. Replacing it cost me 290€. Now the rear defroster works perfectly, and the error message is gone. Thanks for your help.

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mii's rear window demister last winter. The car defrost wasn't working, and it turned out to be a battery problem, too. Have you noticed any other electrical issues, like the headlights dimming slightly or the car taking a little longer to start? It might be worth checking the battery voltage.
