Seat Mii Multifunction Steering Wheel Issue

I've got a weird one. My 2011 Seat Mii with a gasoline engine is throwing a hissy fit. The multifunction steering wheel has completely stopped working. There's an error stored in the error memory, but I'm betting it's a cable connection in the steering wheel that's gone bad. Anyone else run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Seat Mii experienced a malfunction with its multifunction steering wheel, suspected to be due to a faulty cable connection. The issue was confirmed to be a connectivity problem within the steering wheel. The suggested solution was to have a professional diagnose and repair the defect, which successfully resolved the problem.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar sensor issue with my Seat Ibiza, same steering wheel. Have you checked the control module for any obvious damage or loose connections?

Control module, eh? Where exactly is that located? And what kind of damage should I be looking for?

It's a common issue. It's usually tucked up behind the steering wheel. Honestly, unless you're comfortable pulling the steering wheel, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and replace the faulty part. Could save you a headache.

Took it to the shop. Connectivity problem confirmed, defective cable connection in the steering wheel, as suspected. 95€ later and the steering controls are working again. Thanks for the input!
