Seat Mii Strange Behavior

My 2020 Seat Mii with a gasoline engine is exhibiting some strange behavior. An error is stored, the gear selection display in the speedometer is non-functional, cruise control is inoperative, and the engine sometimes refuses to start. I suspect a bad clutch pedal switch, possibly a defective cable or plug connection. Estimated repair cost is 95€. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my Mii, although I'm not certain it was exactly the same. The symptoms sound familiar, especially the cruise control and starting issue. Have you checked the simple things like fuses related to the ignition or clutch? Maybe that faulty switch is just a symptom of something else.

When you say 'similar,' how similar? Was it also the clutch switch, or something else entirely? And which fuses should I be checking specifically?

Yes, it turned out to be the clutch switch in my case as well. I didn't check the fuses myself, to be honest. I took it to a workshop, and they diagnosed it pretty quickly. If you suspect the switch and have checked the wiring, it might be worth having a professional look at it.

Confirmed resolution. The cable to the clutch switch was indeed faulty. Replaced it; the car now starts, cruise control functions, and the gear selector display works. Thanks for the insight.
