Seat Tarraco Active Hood Fault

I'm having trouble! My 2021 Seat Tarraco hybrid is showing an "Active hood fault" message, and the airbag light is on. I've got a stored error related to the active hood. The spring actuators have even been triggered! I've read it could be a defective acceleration sensor. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice before I spend a lot?

I had something similar with my Volvo. Same airbag light and error message. Have you checked the connections to the impact sensor? They can sometimes come loose or corrode, causing a fault.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where is the impact sensor located? Is it easy to get to, or should I just take it to a shop? I don't want to mess with the electronics too much!

In my case, it was a faulty sensor. Cleaning the connections didn't fix it, and it kept showing errors. You should probably get it checked professionally, especially since it's the airbag system. It's a critical system and you don't want to risk making it worse.

Just to let you know, the workshop confirmed it was the acceleration sensor. They installed a new one, cleared the error, and it's all good now. Cost me 315€, but at least the safety system is working again. Thanks for the assistance!
